The wineyard contains only Furmint type grape and can be found on the top of the hill around the Mad village in the Tokaj region. The plants are controlled and treated only by human hands. Automatization or mass production is not allowed at all in case of the grapes. Only 100% quality grape is harvested and used by the winery.

Only the self-grown Furmint grape is used, third party grape is not purchased at all, to ensure the highest quality final product. If the quality parameters do not meet our expectations due to the weather conditions, the wines do not sell on the market.

The unique barrels are specially produced for the winery. Only regional, “Zemplén hill” oak is used, and sourced only from the North side of the hill from the oak forest, which results a slower growing but much solid oak wood tree. The special character of this oak wood is resulting a unique taste in the wine!

The winery yearly output is between 1000-2500 bottles. The bottle, cork, unique glass cork, packaging are very special, high quality, produced only for the CHATEAU KÁLDI winery. All the bottles are numbered individually. In the previous decades the main sales regions were: Middle and Far East (Dubai, Katar, Saud Arabia, etc.), Asian countries (China, Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, etc.), and Russia.
